I went to Blockbuster today since they're officially closing down and picked up a few things. I'm really sad it's closing down because I went there a lot to rent movies that I originally didn't see in theatres. Basically now since Jumbo Video closed down awhile ago too, I have no other place to rent movies anymore. Call me old fashion, but I kind of preferred it to things like Netflix. I liked going out and seeing familiar faces and browsing around to see what new movies were out. That and all through my childhood I'd go in with my dad to either Jumbo Video or Blockbuster, grab some free popcorn and pick something up. It was really nice and I got to hang out with my dad and make fun of the lame b-movies we came across. I'm going to miss it. ):

I bought a few videos games and a movie while I was there and found some things that I potentially might go back for. Today I picked up Nier, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, the Star Wars edition of Robot Chicken, and some cool retro 3-D glasses they had. I also happened to find the whole box set of Wolf's Rain and Left 4 Dead, but the Wolf's Rain box set was expeeensive even with the 25% off and I figured that I'd just pick up Left 4 Dead the next time I was in. (even if it's not there I can probably get it cheap at Walmart or EB Games)

I also beat Portal awhile ago (after playing non-stop, lol) and bought Portal 2 shortly after. Can I just say that Portal 2 has TAKEN OVER MY LIFE?! Almost every spare moment I have I'm playing it. Basically between work and some computer time it's all I've been doing. D: It's just. so. freaking. addictive. I went over to a friend's house today and we played co-op for a few hours and ADAGFHHGFJK IT'S SO FUN. I'm sure everyone else has said this, but I love Wheatley. He's so hilarious. Whoever wrote the script for this game deserves all the awards, ALL OF THEM. It's just so brilliant and even my friend, who doesn't really like 1st person games was right there laughing with me and having fun.

Oh yes, and I beat 999 a little while ago too! I saved the true ending for last and MAN, was I not disappointed! That ending just scattered my emotions EVERYWHERE and I found myself laughing and crying and just aaaaaahhhhh IT WAS TOO GOOD. I loved it and it also brought up some player speculation as well, which I like to try and sort out and create head canons for. Just WOW, that's really all I can say about it all. Everything came together so perfectly. I will be eagerly awaiting Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die. (because I guess it's the sequel to 999? IDK :/a)

I totally know how you feel about renting movies! Blockbuster and any other renting stores are all closed in my town, so I have nothing to rely on but Netflix. While Netflix is nice, I kinda miss going out and seeing what random treasures I could find. ;___;

You got Nier! ♥♥♥ I do hope you enjoy that game as much as I did~ 8DD

999 IS GOOD AT MESSING WITH YOUR FEELINGS. I cannot wait until Extreme Escape Adventure comes out. More reasons for me to get a PSVita. :D

I know, it makes me so sad. There was this one time I went out to Blockbuster and managed to find a copy of Final Fantasy X, which I couldn't find anywhere else. It made my day!

And yes! I freaked out when I saw they were selling it for 14.99 with 15% off! I love getting good deals on games! I'm going to play it soon! :D

999 MADE ME FEEL SO MANY EMOTIONS I CAN'T- Basically one of the best games I've ever played tbh. AND DAMMIT PSVITA, STOP HAVING SO MANY AMAZING GAMES, THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

eeeee omg nier, omg omg, nier is such an incredible game. You are going to love it. It has the best soundtrack, and it really, really delivers some emotional gut-punches. Hell, I cried just watching cutscenes on Youtube.

It sucks so much agggghh. A lot of the other shops I used to go to as a kid closed down awhile ago too. I guess sometimes new technology can be both a blessing and a curse. ):

Awww I loved going to video rental stores and picking things too! Too bad so many of them closed...;w;

And you're making me want to play so many games like Portal. I should probably finish 999 too. XD

I know, it's so sad! ;~; All the stores from my childhood are disappearing! ):

Yay! You should definitely try Portal! It's really fun and you can play it on the PC if you don't have an Xbox or Playstation! :D I really recommend it! And when you have the time, definitely finish 999, the ending is SOOO GOOD. Even after the ending credits were all done and long after that I was still freaking out about it, haha. :)
